There was one where superman crashlanded in the jungles of india. The story plays out like a cross between the junglebook and tarzan. Ultimately he marries into the English crown If I remember correctly. There was also one where they placed superman into the story of fritz lang's metropolis that was pretty odd. One of the better ones from this period is probably the war of the worlds one, since it just plays out as a golden agey superman plot.
