So recasts are mostly an ethical dilemma.
Can you justify people potentially being hurt and stealing from artists just to get a pretty thing you want, but don't need?
Relatedly, recasts will ostracize her from a large part of the community, since (as you can see in this thread), people tend to get heated over it.
If she wants to participate in the community unrestricted, she'll want to go with an authentic doll.
A lot of artists who paint the face won’t work on recasts.
Some tailors won’t sell clothes to people they know have recasts.
