Zilla was way more memorable than the 2 decades worth of movie monsters that succeeded him. He's neither grey, nor craggy, nor elephant skinned. He sports a variety of greens, blacks, and blues and in addition to it all doesnt resemble any other movie monster that came before him or since. The closest comparisons one could make is to either The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms or Ymir from 20 million miles to earth, and both cases would be a stretch. What aspect of pic related even remotely resembles the likes of Cloverfield, the monsters from super 8, or doomsday in BVS?
