>>6493017A Blythe newbie? Yeah, but in the Blythe comm there is pretty much zero done to educate people on that matter. They tend to be in other subforums among a bigger forum, but they are pretty much accepted as part of the hobby and seen everywhere.
Unless you actively ask about them out of curiosity you will never get to know the deal about them or any other Blythe bootlegs.
It's just exhausting when you have zero interest in bootlegs of any kind and then look around in Blythe forums and sales communities and it's like 99% customs made on fakes. I mean, of course, if you manage to customize one nicely and then sell it for the usual crazy Blythe price you make a lot of money. But it gets annoying quickly, and it waters down the pool of skilled customizers. Because the investment is so small everyone and their mom tries to make a shitty custom (like with MH).
On the other side you have the "buying stock dolls only" people, who are super boring. Not to mention the "how dare you customizing a perfectly fine legit doll, buy a factory instead!!1" people that will actively write you messages to keep you from customizing your doll (happened to me when I posted that I will carve my Miss Sally Rice and it wasn't the first time I had seen it happening).
Overall the Blythe community is mostly shit and boring af.
>>6493096It's Australia, just drive her out into the bush and let nature do the rest.
>>6493102Honestly, if she always acts that crazy I'd rather burn the doll than try to get a refund out of her.
