Another trio of the Sluban kits, condensed into one post to conserve the count. I picked these last three up mostly for the sake of completing the set; considering the contents of the minesweeper drone it turned out to be a good call.
The hovercraft reminds me a bit of Luke Skywalker's landspeeder. It's a decent build but not terribly interesting, and the technic pins holding the propellers in place on the engines don't allow for free spinning in the configuration required for the build.
The minesweeper drone was pleasantly surprising in that it included a pair of weapons sprues, sorely lacking from all the rest of the sets in the series. I've already gone back and picked up a couple more, not only for the weapons butalso for the decent parts selection for future MOCs. Another interesting part is the minifig's gas mask, modified from a Minifigcat design to the fit the Sluban style figs. The weapons are all Minifigcat originals as well.
Lastly there's the tankette, a cute little design. There's a surprisingly roomy interior space at the front, presumably for the driver to sit. Two flaws mar this otherwise decent build: the gun only has elevation, requiring the entire tankette to traverse for aiming; the tread layout, while aesthetically complimentary to the overall design, doesn't work very well in practice and can cause breakages in the links.
I'm almost tapped out of Sluban, barring a possible future collage of a pile of $1-$2 minibuilds found alongside the bigger kits, but there's one more build I'm especially excited about that I'll be sharing today.
