This upcoming wave of has an abundance of those red half pins with friction, which makes technic-system connections less shaky than with the blue/gray ones that can rotate inside the pinholes. Monster Jam showed they'd use the red friction pins when *rotation* was a factor, like to keep the shark teeth from spinning, but now we're seeing those red pins with *every* technic-system connection. For example, that tiny dump truck we're both excited for has at least 6 of them simply to hold the fenders on, and the Bugatti Bolide has god-damn forty seven of em. I'm extremely excited that the technic team seems to be choosing those pins as a rule so the connections rattle less from this point on.
And yeah, I'm also hoping the gigantic liebherr crane kicks ass, even if I'm never going to consider getting it myself. The piece count isn't that high, which means there's going to be a *lot* of 15L beams. That could either be really good or really bad depending on what kind of builder buys it.
