If these Rangers were based on the old toys or some other stylized reimagination of the property you might have a leg to stand on, but they are clearly tying to be faithful to the television show, and it's strange to make your toys 90% TV based, only to arbitrarily say "But imagine if the monsters were truly massive!" Be consistent with your line, either make it TV based or make it a reimagined/stylized/more toyetic thing. Ultimately oversized monsters failed once already, the adult fans who are buying the Lightning Collection have been very vocal about that being a bad idea, and at $55 Super7 isn't going to be getting any of the small degree of children crossover the LC gets, so maybe they should have listened to consensus on that. And before you say these aren't as oversized as the LC monsters were, compare the above shot of Sphinx and Rita to pic related. The Super7 looks like he's just as stupidly big next to her as the Hasbro version.
