And at least two years after 3 minute flash cartoons stopped being marketable, Hasbo is trying to release a doll line tethered to shitty 3 minute flash cartoons. But they can't be stylized and pretty dolls because that's cooties stuff, and it can't be straightforward realistic stuff because that's not for girls... So we get the worst of both worlds. If Disney had dragged in a few of the old writers for Dark Horse, and budgeted for a few prettified FF-style GCI OAVs, that shit would have flown off the shelves. Instead, they just get blowjobs from non-fans at dying media outlets that can't even afford to support themselves.
