It took a while for the PSX to become viewed as a popular brand with casuals, especially with how the N64 was big for its initial year and the following one.
By that time, people were starting to hype up the Dreamcast. So even PSX owners were paying attention to SEGA again, and seeing various games that weren't PSX exclusives like Tomb Raider and RE being shown for that console too.
Again, only Crash was actually associated with the PSX back then, because it was an actual first party game. Nearly everything else every console fanboy knew how third party Tomb Raider and RE were.
You were a kid back then, so your ignorant beliefs continue to this day and i guess you don't want to believe what i say, because you don't want your childhood ruined like Star Wars, TMNT, and Transformers have been.
