>>8826416I absolutely adored their Cthulhu line, it's one of my favorite toylines easily in the past 10 years and perhaps ever. Everything from the card art to the figures are done perfectly- it helps that they got people that were making toys back in the late 70s and early 80s to work on these.
I was very disappointed when they basically disbanded after their failed plush toy kickstarter. They had plans for a second series of Legends of Cthulhu toys and I was so over the moon with the initial stuff that I contacted several of the guys with the company and offered up some significant independent financing if money was the issue. They declined without much of an explanation.
There's a book about unreleased toys(toys that were never made volume 2) that got ahold of their prototype sketches and plans for a second wave, and honestly, it's a bit disappointing. Back when they were tossing around ideas and teasers it was supposed to be "the empire strikes back" of Cthulhu mythos, with a set focus on at the mountains of madness and the artic setting expedition.
However the actual toys they were drawing up, imo, lacked the kind of classic appeal of the first wave. Perhaps the most interesting items were a couple of mythos monsters that would be clear translucent and be able to hold other figures or smaller monsters inside.
I just checked and it seems like no one has really taking any pictures of the plans from this book and put them online.
