On the ground floor, businesses are situated to either side of the entrance to the radio station. To the left is a thriving example of the Coffee Chain franchise, staffed by people young enough to still output actual cheer as they perform their minimum-wage retail job. To the right an independent convenience store is owned and operated by Mr. and Mrs. Bao, an elderly Asian couple who nobody refers to as 'those old grey slopes'.
The entrance to the radio station opens to reveal a pair of staircases curving around an impressive waterfall feature. At the top of the stairs is the reception desk, where Cynthia either admits visitors to the office to discuss with station manager Doug business regarding the either the talk station (studio over the convenience store) or the rock station (studio over the coffee shop), or directs them to some uncomfortable chairs to wait while pointedly ignored.
The third floor apartments (one luxury, one ... other) are officially accessed by an unmarked doorway at ground level and simple staircase inside, but there is also a fire escape ladder affixed to the outside rear. In the luxury apartment, large windows give excellent views over both streetscapes for an airy feel, and a private rooftop patio allows for real fresh air. The other apartment features modern space-efficient living for one, and a view of the back of exciting and busy places such as Assembly Square or Town Hall.
