I've gotten new klocki addictions. I no longer have interest for city sets, pirates, castle, nor star wars. I actually don't yearn for any official Lego sets. I really enjoy creating military themed sets. I look for instruction mocs for sale or on youtube and brick link the parts. After building I usually tinker with the finished product or tinker before hand with the color scheme of the parts list. I have a few booklets namely from brickmania which are wonderful although you have to catalog your bricklink wish list which can take an hour due to double checking and the nature of the process. Also picked up a few instructions from the likes of youtube and third party sellers for building mocs and vehicles.
I just want to know when does the creativity start. I can tinker with builds and color schemes but when can I start understanding how to build these mocs on a foundational level. Same thing as when I attempted to learn programing. I can understand the logic behind the structure and algorithms but when it comes to building a foundation I lack the ability to be able to apply logic yet I have no problem understanding it when it is built. Maybe it is my intelligence that prevents me but I want to build not copy others creations. Maybe one day when I stop being the tinkerer.
