It's unnatural and looks stupid in person, and obviously based on trying to make someone feel better about their disability, as seen with other styles over the generations.
Might as well say no one should complain about the floating limbs either just because it's cartoonish.
And no, it isn't just seen in cartoons either. Sentai shows do the same shit too, albeit less pronounced because of how much it hurts a normal person.
