I was able to find the parts I needed to finally do fix up his mouth so it looks the way I’m confident it was originally built to; now my buddy’s got a perfectly good cohesive set of chompers. Changed his wheel and tire too, while I was at it (the old one was just a placeholder until I could get the right part). Then lastly since Rahi in the 2001 PC Game changed their eye color once freed from Makuta’s influence I decided to swap out his red controlled eyes and gave him his normal, natural blue eyes.
And now he’s 100% finished! Really the only thing I might do in the future is tinker with how to joint his body in order to better attach any future rubber bands and make sure they’re more stable, but that has nothing to really do with his overall construction and won’t require any real changes. I’m quite pleased with how he’s turned out, and I’m glad he’s finally finished. It’s felt like going back in time honestly.
Now I just need to think of how to build a Vuata Maca Tree.
