One of my favorite diorama makers was Filex DeCobray, where he set up a make shift airfield in his backyard. He had two or three airplanes on a field, being worked on by a 3-5 techno vipers and other engineer looking guys each. LAdders, tools, work benches, everywhere and one or two supply trucks
Around a table was Wild Wiesel and a bunch of other pilots, trading stories while having lunch, with one pilot looking all nervous.
There was a perimeter of ASPs, crewed on each corner of the field, with sandbags and supplies, and two or three patrol groups of vipers walking the perimeter of the field. At one ASP emplacement, a group of GI Joes were silently taking out the crew that a patrol just passed by
IT was something so fucking simple that any kid could set something up like that, but it looked amazing and had hours of playability. This Filex guy had 10 similar pages of dioramas and i've never seen anynoe replicate this style and put that much effort in a series of photographs of a single second over a spread out area.
Sabotaging or murdering mechanics never looked so exciting.
