>>7207728I can agree that the ML shield is a bit soft on sculpt, especially after having been around for like four iterations and decos. This one does have a kind of weird separation in the "seams" between the red and silver paint. The paint is all metallic though, and I can't get my iPhone camera to capture how good the luster is.
Compared to my KO Mezco shield (I know, it's a KO, but it's a pretty damn good KO piece, and the rest of the figure is authentic), it's miles better on this body. The ML shield is larger, still fits his gripping hand, has the interior sculpting (straps, underside of shield) that make it look nicer in spread-armed poses, and has richer colors. It is a bit thicker than the Mezco, especially around the edges, but I don't mind.
Regarding the diameter of the ML shield being bigger--I know that really throws off the scale of the Mezco figure, especially when imagining it being slung around. But them's the breaks.
