Do you think Kaiyodo will ever go into making lifelike human action figures using the digital face painting technology?
They seem to be finally moving into 3D printing and digital sculpting (selling 3D prints as "garage kits" is kind of bull shit though) but still are dependent on fully covered hand painted figures for pretty much all of their products.
They are making some good moves like ABS plastic action figure and RevoGeo capturing various aspects of wild life but I feel like they are missing out on a lot of potential subjects that would make great action figures. Not necessarily the same thing other companies are making, other films domestic or foreign, new or classic, etc etc. Even in gaming where modern graphics have made them very lifelike and difficult to represent with consistency by hand painting in mass.
Or should Kaiyodo not even try and leave all that to their competitors? What characters or persons do you wish to see and think is the kind of stuff Kaiyodo would make?
