I was pleasantly surprised today by the arrival of not one, but three of my orders showing up at once. First was my Tricranius effect pack, which is already seeing good use among my other bots - plus, it turns out you can kinda make Tricranius himself use some of the effects by using the little blue ring effect as a sort of connector: flip the ring around and slip it halfway onto Tricranius' 5mm peg-hand, then slip an effect (a blue beam in pic related) into the other half, and voila!
Second to arrive was the Grimlock/Mirage twopack. Strangely, my Grimlock came with two swords - one tied to his packaging under his tail shield, and a second one already stored inside the tail itself. Weird, but cool all the same - now he can dual-wield blades! The sword can also tuck into the gap between his bot legs in Beast Mode, too, so he can carry both blades around with no issue in both forms.
Mirage was a little disappointing, but I was already expecting that - blue plastic painted white that's almost certainly going to experience chipping later on due to the painted side going against the ground in alt mode, plus they really did remove the top shoulder ports in bot mode for this version of him; his weapons can store on the BACKS of his shoulders when not in use instead. Not very accurate, but at least there's some sort of weapon storage, I guess.
Lastly, Airazor FINALLY decided to make an appearance; when preorders for her went up ages ago, I missed the window and couldn't find her anywhere; not wanting to wait and see how distribution was going to turn out, I preordered the takara version of her from Hobbysearch instead; Hobbysearch doesn't allow for cancellations, so I was stuck waiting for months for her even as she started showing up in stores over here...
Anyway, no major complaints over her so far (other than her lateness in arriving), so now it's just waiting on Tigatron to go up for preorder, and my Maximal squad should be more or less complete.
