However, this is not an MBT. You got bigger problems than electronics if you're getting hit in the gunners sight, or really in general. The Abrams not having an autoloader is a subject of much debate, but it doesn't really have much to do with reliability; autoloaders are reliable and if you get hit where your autoloader should be, you either lose all your ammunition or are dead anyway.
Another thing is, while I forget my source, I do remember the Armata designers choosing not to armor their turret, because getting hit by a 120+mm shell near the mantlet basically knocks out your gun anyway even if it doesn't penetrate.
