It doesn't convey any of the menace from the cgi model, which is especially apparent when looking at the figure straight on and the cgi model straight on. It looks very messy in that there are bright reds and the small whites of the teeth, something that isn't apparent with the movie version. Whereas the movie version has some sort of menace, this just looks goofy.
Even the barely painted bandai vinyl evokes this better than the shma. The shma overall just looks like a very weak representation of the monster, not only for its size but especially when compared to the other figures of similar or even smaller size japan out out
