I remember picrel was the first 1/6 I got back in 2008. Within the year the neck was cracking simply due to exposure to air.
Since then I've had a lot more 1/6, mainly from Threezero and I haven't seen any deterioration. Quite honestly it's a gamble, especially if buying from the 3P China market.
