He also nearly turned gay when a pretty boy told him some soothing words. An articulated figure of Shinji wouldn't sell because the main consumer audience find him to be an embarassment or worse: they see the embarassing things about themselves in him. This the same reason Watamote Tomoko never got a Figma.
