New additions with the highlight of finally snagging a Prototype Dom for something cheap, courtesy of a dinged up box and oh god the cigarette smell! Had just started a HMM Geno Breaker, so here's hoping a day or so in a dish soap bath will be enough to get rid of that while I'm building the Zoid. Oh and Monitor-Anon, that Megabox Deep One has been pretty neat, though I was more about the miniature submersibles it breaks up into than the mecha on that one hahaha!
>>8888519Hoping it's soon as
>>8888542 put it, have always been desiring that gray one for it's standard-issue looking scheme; just not looking forward to the metallic paints to be forced on it because it's gonna be a ANIME-MSV RD...
>>8892821>>8892971Kind of weird why it works, cause if the cause is bromine like in old electronics; why does Bandai mix that stuff with hobby-use plastics hahaha! Though I found parts of the retrobrite process worked the same on SOME of my RD figures years ago.
Turned out to be a bit of a gamble on the side effects, but on my Tallgeese I I was able to clear up yellowing with some water diluted Hydrogen-Peroxide(specifically the Sally 40 Volume Clear liquid NOT CREAM stuff) using sunlight on a bright day for about two hours(... I think that's how fast it went).
Unfortunately, in contrast to that a old JP friend had some bad results using a cream variety that took a while to find for sale over there; and a UV lamp. Had noticeable streaking happen in the hard plastic parts, and the red head crest shifted brighter to an almost pink; though I THINK that went back to a normal red after some time.
While a Reborns Gundam, Cherudim Gundam, along with a Burning Gundam(though the Shining in the same G-Gundam RD line was reversed) I tried with with same process as above had little success, so it's not a guarantee this method can work on all figures I'm sorry.
