Just assembled my very first kit! It was fun and challenging but not as much as I thought.
I fucked up on a thigh piece because I got bold and I thought I'd do both legs at the same time since the arms went so smoothly. Obviously I mixed up left and right on one side and I had glued the bits together before I realized. The connectors that were glued broke when I parted the pieces off and I thought I'd made a disaster, but I cut off the residue and glued the parts together again and at least for now it seems fine. I'll never get cocky again. I'm disappointed that even by working carefully on nubs some of the white at the base would still show even if the surface was sanded flat with 2000 grit. Maybe I was afraid of oversanding and I just did too little.
Overall it was fun and photos don't do justice to how damn good she looks. When I started assembling the actual figure together I felt this magic I had not felt in many many years.
