Okay, here's what I believe will be the final coat. I'll never fucking understand clear coats:
>Gunze flat clear with Gunze thinner turned out more gloss than Gunze premium semi-gloss >resprayed the whole thing with Gunze premium semigloss thinned with denatured alcohol, for a more flat, but still kinda satin effect Thinning acrylic varnishes with alcohol produces a way more flat result, with flat paints an almost too flat, grainy effect. My hypotheses is that while factory thinner indeed thins up the ratio of acrylic polymers in the overall mixture, alcohol will mostly break up the polymer chains, so when the paint dries it has to polymerize basically from scratch.
Anyway I think now all that's left is some oil-dots, fuel stains at fill holes. some aluminum scratches where appropriate, paint one or both of the pilot figures and maybe add the wheel chocks and an engine cover.
>>9697563I'm kinda mad too the T-15 is not yet in production. I've read somewhere that while the T-14 isn't that much of a leap forward in actual combat capabilities, the T-15 would be a completely different beast from all previous IFV designs. Like on par with all the indestructible IDF personnel carriers.
