After the events of the previous year, Neo Belarus decided to distance itself from their former ally and benefactor, Neo Russia, and created a mobile suit of their own to enter the 14th Fight: the Gopnik Gundam. Due to Neo Belarus' poor economic standing, certain cuts had to be made in production such as a lack of Gundarium alloys. As such, Neo Belarus salvaged a destroyed Death Army suit to utilize for the head unit.
Another area economically impacted is the weaponry, with the Gopnik Gundam relying only on a pair of knives and close quarter combat skills, and preferring to sneak attack their opponent instead of facing them head on. An unexpected perk of using a captured Death suit was salvaged DG cells, which are stored in a bottle to be used and activated, allowing a temporary increase in speed, power, and stealthiness
