>>8871514His Tetrajet mode isn't quite as horrible as I had been led to believe. Yeah, his bot mode basically just folds up and hangs off of his jet half, but it's not too noticeable. Certainly better than the pics of Starscream's Tetrajet toy from the Bumblebee movie. I honestly kinda like it; I'm hoping to grab a Hotlink later on.
I went to look up info on this guy since I'd never even heard of him until his toy was announced for Siege a year or two ago. Turns out he pretty much HAS no characterization - his whole existence was due to a series of miscommunications, a coloring error in a comic panel, and a persistant fan bugging the creators until he got a name, and the few appearances he's made since then have all been non-speaking background roles, as far as I can tell. So I've come up with my own little headcanon for him: He's Terrorsaur's former identity from the Autobot/Decepticon War. After aligning with the Predacons during the Great Upgrade and swapping to the smaller body he's seen with in The Theft of the Golden Disc, he throws his lot in with Megatron (with the intention of overthrowing him later) and changes his name from RedWing to Terrorsaur after landing on primitive Earth and gaining his Beast Mode. Then he either: Dies by falling into lava durning the destruction of the Planet Buster (main timeline), is plucked from certain doom by Unicron and held in The Cauldron until he escapes during Silverbolt's and Trailbreaker's jailbreak, with his final fate being uncertain (2003 Universe comic), or survives falling into the lava and becoem a Transmetal, with his final fate also unknown (Whatever timeline his Transmetal toy comes from). Yeah, a little autistic, but I think it works, and it's the backstory I'm sticking with.
