Chinese slaves handle all that shit and their hygienic standards are absolutely disgusting.

Also, washing your figures will make them attract less dust. Mold release and other shit from the manufacturing process remain on the toys and dust sticks onto them easier. Wash that shit off and your toy will remain dust-free longer and will be easier to dust as well.

shock oil is relatively safe to just have it there, but do you really want to have oily hands all the time when handling your toys?

Also, dust sticks to oils and lube. IF you have shit on display and rarely dust your toys, it can gunk up. The mold release that toys already have will make it harder to clean.
Personally, that's why i wash almost every new toy i get. They don't get as dusty if you wipe or wash them down. Also, dirty chinese hands.

Nope, because i hate the slimy feeling toys have because of the left over lube from the manufacturing process.
So as a bonus for my hands not feeling greasy, any chinese germs are cleaned off and dust no longer sticks onto my figures (as much)

i don't even have an OCD. I juust generally have dry hands and just notice the greasy texture after handling my toys. Obviously, if your hands get shit ove rthem, you should wash your hands, right? So by cleaning my figures once, i never have to wash my hands again from handling them!
