>>10021436 has a solid list. I'd just add Mei's Hirse Jet and the MK Team Van to the SS Tiers, and the Dragon of the East to the S tier. The only MK set I didn't really like was Sandy's Powerloader Mech, so I did a heavy retool on it and love it now.
Picrel is my MK collection. Keep in mind, half of it is made up of MOCs. Also, season 2 is where things start to get really good, and season 3 and the finale of the show are pretty epic. If you're just trying to get the base cast, then the MK Team Van and Nezha's Fire Ring are good sets to start off with. Tang is a pain in the ass to get a hold of, but I got the Dragon of the East set and just use him in his underwater suit.
