There are literally only two decently articulated Tyrannosaurus Rex figures on the market and one is the JP Rex while the other is a modern restoration, not a classic retro-Rex that would work well with the Classic Kong. Plus, neither of the available versions scales well with the Neca Kong (though the 1/35 BotM Rex does scale well with the SHMA or the terrible Hiya Kong). A retro Rex is a sourly needed figure and it sucks that Neca seems to have abandoned the Kong novel IP to work on other IPs.
