With 3D mold i meant the process of creating a 3D model than translating it in a mold for casting. Or do they use a 3D printer for ever part? I dont think so, so your assumption kinda sound weird.
To get the original toys and bypasss hours of work would be to get the original pieces and recast it. In my eyes it would work but propably only in small quantities and garage shop. Thats again why i ask.
