Imagine if this applied to the Fortnite license (probably did) and sales were expected to be $$$$$$ if it has X amount of people playing. Obviously, since Jazwares already ditched the license, that means expectations are lower, but there's still going to be a projected amount and they're still expected to pay up whether they met those sales or not.
This shit has been going on for decades and companies know what theyre getting into. It's nothing new and been a standard since at least the 60s.
