Punisher's grainy stubble works to great effect because of the print process, because stubble is supposed to look grainy. There might be a spray app under that, but it's hard to tell from just photos.
Eyes are shadowed with the print app. Eyes themselves have a print and spray apps under that. Same with the eyebrows and mouth.
It's an amazing looking combo of print, spray apps, and great sculpts which makes these toys look so great. Hasbro has a really good budget to be able to pull this off and works so well it looks high end as fuck.
That's not something i'd expect from Mattel and i fear they'd go cheapo like Bandai does and just use a print all by itself, making the entire face look grainy newspaper print rather than realistic.
