In actuality the M9 Gernsback was becoming kinda generic by the end of the events of FMP from what I remember reading. While the 9E is the most deluxe of the variants, really all it was was a top of the line 3rd gen machine... at a time when the 3rd generation of Arm Slaves just began, and so all it could really hope to be was a benchmark, not the final word. The Shadow I'm pretty sure is at parity with the Gernsback.
