Here's the last Neca figure I bought in 2015. Hopefully someone else will get a laugh out of this, I know I did.
>open packaging, take out zombie and doge
>fill up a mug with near boiling water and submerge him for a good minute
>take him out and gently wiggle his articulation points
>pieces start falling off
>panic for a second
>chuckle when I realise it's just the 'removable limbs' feature advertised with a big red sticker on the box
>move his right shoulder outwards about 45 degrees, he's still gummy from the hot water so it doesn't give me much resistance
>rotate it forward for the classic 'about to grab you' zombie pose
>arm falls out of the socket
>haha those silly removable limbs!
>oh wait it's actually broken
>fuck
The joint must have stuck in place when I rotated the arm, but it didn't feel like anything was wrong until it disconnected from the peg. Not sure if there was anything else I could have done to prevent it, I bathed him in hot water like I do with all of my new Neca figures. If this was a figure meant to hold weapons or do crazy poses I'd probably be more disappointed, but since it's essentially a zombie statue I'm not even mad.
Overall 10/10 paint and sculpt, 6/10 articulation.
The pic is post-breakage :^)
