>>6717739 said, it depends on the figure itself. I like some Safari/Papo/Schleich figures that have zero or just a couple points of articulation but good sculpts. When it comes to 1/12 scale I prefer lots of articulation that works for the character. A big, muscular character or creature need not be at contortionist-levels of articulation, but characters who are depicted with a wide range of motion in their body language in the source material (Spiderman, xenomorphs, toku stuff, etc) should be as poseable as possible without sacrificing aesthetics too much.
