They added rules as if it was a pokemon adventure, such that the rules also vastly limited appearances of other characters (for good reason now that i think about it, but still). So, instead of the He-Man-esque angle we got with Xros Wars, we didnt get to see guys like MetalTyranno or Mervamon for common fight/crowd scenes. The only time I undropped it was the reunion arc where all the old Digi-destined mains appeared, and Marcus is still established as the best one.
