Just because adults like something doesn't mean they're adult collector lines. Read my example of the GI Joe toyline, which was aimed at kids. Adults buying into the line and toy makers including stuff for them doesn't make them collector lines.
Nothing Hasbro makes is aimed at collectors. Even their SDCC exclusives sold to neckbeards only are still created for kids in mind, because they're going to reuse those molds.
Actually, no, their Cloverfield figure was made for collectors and that's about the only Hasbro figure i know of that was ever not a children's toy.
Go look at what happened with the early releases for NECA's Pacific Rim figures, because those were aimed at making it a children's toyline so that Walmart would order them.
Once they gave up on trying to attract Walmart's attention, the quality and features in the line increased measurably.
