>>11576595>I only know and like the franchise because I enjoyed Dawn of War 1. So it is possible for someone to collect JoyToy and not giving a single shit about the tabletopThat's fine, but people in that thread knew as much about the series as a 16 year old girl who spends 12 hours a day on tiktok
They had no basic knowledge about the series. Here you are telling me about how casual you are about the series, but even you hate the new redesign, yet they didn't even know anything about that. They didn't know anything about the revamp, despite they themselves posting a lot of old pictures to claim the scale wasnt fucked up
They didn't even know how big the space marines are supposed to be until i pointed that out and they started to say how bad that was... all while praising Joytoy for "fixing" that for GW. The shilling couldn't be more obvious
I remember back when Joytoy was first brought up on /toy/ in like 2016. Some completely unknown toyline that was found only on aliexpress. No reviews. No websites (western or eastern) talking about it. People thought it was suspicious that /toy/ was the only non-retail, non-chinese site that had a person posting pictures of these 1:22 scale robot/vehicle line, but i guess maybe /toy/ was that great in discovering new toylines? So okay, even if it's a shill, they guessed it was alright to talk about it because it looked cool too. Other people eventually bought the toyline and it became immediately clear that there was shilling going on, because Joytoy used really shitty plastics and the probably-shills got angry when people would talk about how easy it is for the toys to break.
But anons forgave that, because everyone knows Chinese products are shitty and at least the toys were really cheap (and eventually joytoy started including extra parts and joints to replace the broken pieces).
Yet now their toys are super expensive, they still use shitty plastics, and the shills still get angry if you talk about them breaking.
