Since you're zoomers, back before smartphones became a thing, we used to use something called a pen and pencil. These utensils allowed us to communicate with each other similar to how we're typing shit right now on this message board, but with paper and ink.
Instead of this message being sent electronically, that paper containing the message was sent by people similar to how Amazon ships orders directly to your house. But it could take up to a month for that message to arrive to its recipient.
