I can accept the whole time travel plot because, well, it's a movie. What I don't get is how this goofy-looking thing mutated into Godzilla. It would have been more reasonable if the Godzillasaurus was just a smaller version of the Heisei Godzilla that walked upright, had a broad chest, dorsal fins, etc.
