>>11196969And speaking of WW2 we get the third era and source of the troops for this set, namely the good ol' Airfix British Paras. This is only the second time i've gotten modern(ish) military troops in white (more on that in a moment). I think it's reasonable to argue the camo patterns on the vehicles imply that either side can rightfully lay claim to their use in battle, though the set would've been more visibly even if some white vehicles had been included. Although my Grey armed forces seem to have a good chunk of their armour and airpower represented in the 1/72 scale (even more so after getting these new sets) I am happy to take what I can get - they are after all the third-largest army overall.
Going a little meta here but I wanted to comment on the white troops and their role in the Colour Wars. There is no White army per se; when White soldiers appear it tends to be a supernatural event, such as when a Green artillery battery was set upon by a host of White ninjas and massacred to a man.
On a similar note there isn't a Black army either; they aren't supernatural however and can serve as auxiliary/mercenary forces for any army, notably as seen in The Grail Quest.
