Most collectors buy across multiple lines.The girls and Wolverine are shorter because some scaling is at work with AY. But Optimums is a giant robot out of scale with humans, and the only one in the AY line so you can't really make that call yet. The figures are so different in construction any other company wouldn't even consider them the same line, but because it's Kaiyodo classification is all messed up. Those shorter human AY BTW, still the same size as most SHF (figma too) so the real view on the matter is most of the human AY are unusually larger than average, Optimus is in the norm in that grouping. Optimus is unusually larger compare to other robots in other toy lines, because AY doesn't have any other robot to compare by scaling. Yeah sure perspective difference but I think the safer assumption is more anons are familiar with the older, larger toy lines like SHF, RD, figma, especially if they might be new to the very new AY line. Looking at preAY Revoltechs, of course all of these are just as large and larger depending on the era. Certainly not small at all.
