>>5323935>>5323939While I will give you that the saucer is much stockier on the newest version, as a whole it's not as dis-proportioned as you make it out to be.
Here is the 2014 version next to the same saucer parts for comparative scale.
As you can see, the original wouldn't be THAT much bigger, plus the use of dome parts makes a space for the hidden spring launcher gimmick that you wouldn't get with saucer pieces.
8018 from 2009 however, is flipping HUGE.
