>>10465192>all this contrarian nonsense... is it just me getting tired of these low effort contrarianism just to continue arguing or are you just not putting any effort into it anymore?
Very hard to argue when you're just outright denying 2+2=4.
Maybe if you got any details right, i'd try and correct you, but holy fuck man.
I'll throw you a bone though, since other people may not know this simple fact: high pressure injection molding on plastics allows all toys to hold detail just as sharply whether it's silicon, abs, acrylic, or nylon.
Detail today (or rather, since at least the 80s) is solely dependant on the sculptors abilities, though how many pieces a toy is made from also plays a part (cavities and holes aren't always properly placed due to limitations of molding, hence some companies paying more to add another piece to correctly do it. guns barrels are one example of being more accurate thru extra molded pieces).
So if there's a soft sculpt anywhere, its because of the abilities of the sculptor or was purposely made soft, like softening edges on spikes to prevent injuries.
pic of McFarlane's super detailed figure that blows 99% of modern lines out of the water despite using super gummy overlays that make acid rain figures seem diamond hard.
ps, it looks super detailed mostly thanks to the paint. if modern companies did this, their toys could look this amazing too.
