It always 'bugged' me that they just kinda revamped other space theme's vehicles by adding some grasshopper legs and/or bug wings. It struck me as lazy, and uncreative.
They should have gone for an Insector X/Zoids type thing and just made big robot space bugs with lasers and cannons attached. Which I guess they kinda did with one or two of the sets. The Arachnoid Star Base kinda meets that description.
