YEah, they're making a billion dollars, but with every movie they're making less and less, and the last jedi had people rage quitting.
Go compare it to the Marvel movies and you can definitely see how Disney is squandering the license. Nearly every MCU movie continues doing better than the last and most fans love it. There is more shelf dedicated toward Marvel than there is Star Wars stuff, and it used to be the opposite, even when there were no STar Wars movies being released.
Disney is definintely fucking up when one of the biggest franchises is noticeably lessening. The tub is full of water, but slowly draining. There's no swirl yet, but if Disney doesn't do something, there will be that deep vortex leading down the drain that was Star Wars.
