The show was well written, had good timing, and good acting. When it was taking over by DIC, they replaced many of the actors, the writing sometimes on par, but the timing and directing would be off and result in the episodes just coming off as wonky and less mature. And while the writing wasn't as good, I felt like a number of the episodes would have been good had Sunbow handled them, even at their most outlandish, Sunbow could make weird stories work.
