If you have no 12 inches body, why not use a barbie body? Or poppy parker like my barbie is using.. PP is 11.5 inch.

Also Mattel does try to hire doll fans. There was a BJD artist (im sorry, i forgot who ) that Mattel tried to hire and artist said no because Mattel won't let them post on their own dolls on their socials ( not even selling em) while working at Mattel.
Andreja stopped posting doll face ups on her youtube not because her company does not let her, making dolls her actual work burnt her out from the hobby.
