>>7106932>>7106941>>7096154Very unfair to even talk about consoles and gaming, because kids had always been into them. In the 70s, 80s and 90s, even if they didn't have the money to buy a console, they could go waste an afternoon at a local arcade and spend all their allowance.
The reason gaming is as bigger than before is just because those of us from the 80s and 90s continued playing video games into adulthood. So you have a much larger segment of the population gaming than before.
Kids' demographic in gaming pretty much peaked in the late 90s, which is to say it went from 95% to 98.92999% and hasn't gone down since.
